Bombay Bicycle Club - NME/Radio 1 Stage

North Londoners Bombay Bicycle Club returned to Reading this year to perform an evening set inside a highly atmopsheric NME/Radio 1 Stage that was packed to the rafters. After catching his breath from a promising first few songs, that included new material, front-man Jack Steadman smiled and looked out to the audience, ‘We’ve missed you.’

What later ensued is an electrifying performance that just got better and better, most noticeably picking up a gear after the band played 2009 hit single, ‘Magnet’.

The set became the sort of feel good performance that highlights the very best that the NME/Radio 1 Stage has to offer, and the perfect springboard for a night of electronic pop/rock on the Main Stage with the likes of Pulp and The Strokes.

‘Shuffle’ and ‘Always Like This’ are given the most rapturous response from a feverish crowd, setting the bar very high for the rest of the impending third album, 'A Different Kind of Fix', released later this month.
